The
Navajo Nation is appealing a decision in a bidding dispute.
On February 28, Judge William Platero ruled that the tribe violated its regulations when it awarded leases for land to the highest bidder.
The process forced Loretta Morris and her husband off land they have leased in New Mexico for more than 40 years.
The decision only applied to the Morrises. But the tribe has leased nearly 350,000 acres across the reservation using the disputed bid process.
