Joe Antonio Silversmith, one of the Navajo Code Talkers, died on Monday. He was 86.
Silversmith, who lived in New Mexico, received a Silver Congressional Medal of Honor for serving in World War II. He helped transmit codes in the Navajo language.
The
Navajo Nation will fly its flags at half-staff from March 2-5 in honor of Silversmith.
