The top two leaders of the
Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in Michigan are facing another recall effort.
Chairman Ken Harrington and Vice Chairman Dexter McNamara survived a recall last summer. Opponents are trying again because they say Harrington and McNamara aren't doing a good job.
“I truly think the first time around, people really believed that (Harrington) would do the tribe good, and they felt he should have another chance — now they see the true Ken,” Rose Smalley, the chairperson of the recall committee, told The Petoskey News-Review. “People have called, who voted for (Harrington) in the last election, and they’re asking if we’re going to have another recall — the sooner the better.”
