Alexie book out of the curriculum.
Michele Smith, a parent, and several others objected to the use of language in "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." But far more supported the book at a recent public hearing, The Helena Independent Record reported.

Other schools have removed the book due to concerns about its subject matter and language.
