Muscogee Nation woman faces trial for death of child in foster care

A woman from the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma faces a trial in state court for the death of a toddler in foster care.

Sharon Lee Whitecloud, 61, has been charged with first-degree manslaughter. She could also be charged with first-degree murder if she goes to trial.

The Muscogee Nation placed Kyra Zubah, 3, in Whitecloud's home. The girl died in November 2009 after suffering multiple injuries.

Defense attorneys are trying to suppress a conversation between Whitecloud and her pastor that was videotaped in a police interrogation room.
