Justice Department nominee has experience with Indian law cases

On Monday, President Barack Obama nominated Donald Verrilli to be Solicitor General at the Department of Justice

The Solicitor General handles U.S. Supreme Court matters for the federal government. The position is extremely important and Verrilli comes with Indian law experience.

Turtle Talk listed four cases in which Verrilli supported tribal interests. He also worked on one case in which he worked on a brief in opposition to tribal interests.

Verrilli's position requires Senate confirmation.
