Saginaw Chippewa man pleads guilty to assault using his shoes

Roland J. Jackson, a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan, pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm.
Jackson admitted that he knocked his girlfriend to the ground and stomped on her face with his shoes. He faces a minimum sentence of 10 to 16 month for his crime.
In a separate incident, another Saginaw Chippewa man was indicted for using his shoes as a weapon.
