Ojibwe tribes convene on Red Lake Nation for education summit

The Red Lake, Leech Lake and White Earth bands of Ojibwe are meeting this week to discuss education and language preservation.

The Red Lake Nation is hosting the two-day summit. It will conclude with the signing of an education agreement by the three tribes.

“I think it’s a huge benefit for all of us, sharing, cooperating and working together, Dan King, the president of the Red Lake Nation College, told The Bemidji Pioneer.
