New president of Navajo Nation reaches settlement in fraud case

The new president and the new vice president of the
Navajo Nation
have reached settlements in a fraud case.
President Ben Shelly
and Vice President Rex Lee Jim were sworn into office on Tuesday. They announced settlements to pay back the money they allegedly stole from the tribe.
Dozens of current and former
Navajo Nation Council
delegates were charged in the case. Shelly and Jim served on the council.
