The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has proposed a regulation to inform tribes about nuclear waste shipments through reservations.
States already receive advance notification of shipments. The rule gives tribes the same option and it would require them to protect the information.
Comments on the rule are being accepted until February 22, 2011,
