Turtle Mountain Band elects nearly an entirely new set of leaders
Members of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota have nearly an entirely new tribal council.

Voters elected a new chairman, Merle St. Claire, and seven new council members. The eighth council member, Cindy Malaterre, was the only incumbent who made it through.

The new council is set to be sworn in on December 5.
