The Hopi Tribe of Arizona has entered into an agreement to help operate and maintain a state park.
The tribe will provide $175,000 to reopen Homolovi
Ruins State Park, which closed in February due to state budget cuts.
The money enables the park to stay open through fiscal year 2011.
"Hopi became worried that once again, the pot hunters could start desecrating our ancient homelands," council member Cedric Kuwaninvaya told The Arizona Republic.
