A judge in Montana set an execution date for Ronald A. Smith, who pleaded guilty to the murder of two young Blackfeet Nation men.
Harvey Mad Man Jr., 24, and Thomas Running Rabbit III, 20, were hitchhiking on the reservation in August 1982 when they murdered by Smith, a Canadian citizen. Mad Men and Running Rabbit were cousins.
The execution will take place January 31, 2011.
