Five members of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona pleaded guilty in connection with an eagle taking incident.
Eugene Mansfield, Brendan Mansfield, Eldrice Mansfield, Emmett Namoki and Lucas Namoki Jr. took baby golden eagles from a nest on the Navajo Nation.
One of them had a federal permit but they took the birds earlier than was allowed.
Four of the defendants were sentenced to one year of probation and $250 in restitution to the Hopi Tribe. Brendan Mansfield was sentenced to 15 days in jail and restitution.
