Animal control officers from the Fort Mojave Tribe captured an alligator after a fisherman spotted it in the Colorado River.
Wally went missing when the Shrine Circus came to the reservation a week ago. He was finally captured in the river near the Avi Resort Casino.
“I thought it was a duck or something,” fisherman Anthony Centofante told The Mohave Daily News. “I’ve seen beavers and some big fish in the river but never a gator.”
The tribe is holding onto Wally, who is Wally, 28 inches in length and six months old, until the circus reclaims him.
