Members of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana went to the polls on Tuesday to narrow the field for four council seats.
Eight candidates made it through to the general election. They included incumbents Jonathan Windy Boy and Ricky Morsette.
The five other candidates are Harlan Gopher Baker, Gerald Small, Neal Rosette Sr., Tim Koop, Ted E. Whitford Sr. and Russell Standing Rock.
The general election takes place November 2.
