The Mohegan Tribe of
Connecticut will hold a special election in October to choose a new member of the council.
The council needs a new member to replace Lynn Malerba. She was serving as chairman until she was tapped to serve as chief, a lifetime position.
For now, Bruce S. Bozsum, a former chairman of the tribe, is serving as acting chairman.
