Yankton Sioux woman drops tribal lawsuit against BIA officers
A member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe has withdrawn a lawsuit that she filed in tribal court against two Bureau of Indian Affairs police officers.

Gail Hubbeling sued after she was arrested on the reservation. She said the officers violated her free speech rights and civil rights.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in South Dakota filed a lawsuit in federal court to prevent the BIA officers from appearing in tribal court. But the lawsuit was dismissed after Hubbeling withdrew her tribal court complaint.
