Tribes in California have donated to the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor, The Sacramento Bee reports.
Tribes and related gaming interests donated $715,000 to Democrat Jerry Brown, who has worked with tribes when he was governor from 1975 to 1983.
In comparison, Republican Meg Whitman has pulled in about $140,000 in tribal donations, the paper reported.
"I've met with (Brown and Whitman) a couple of times, and they're both great people," Daniel Tucker, the chairman of the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians told the paper.
We haven't made up our mind. We're still looking. We're still thinking."
