"While some may be on vacation Aug. 10 and others say that no one is thinking of politics during the summer, I am pleased that our primary election has been moved to Aug. 10.
I am also very pleased with Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, who has helped make the voting process more accessible for American Indians and easier for people living overseas, including our military personnel.
A quick look at the number of absentee ballots cast by military personnel shows that the number of votes cast increased by 300 percent in 2008! Outstanding!"
