Authorities announced an arrest in the 2004 homicide of Divas Boulanger, a 28-year-old transgendered woman who was killed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Boulanger, who was Ojibwa, was found murdered on November 3, 2004. Divas, who was born David Joseph Boulanger, was an artist but reportedly worked in the sex trade.
Theodore Raymond Herntier, 40, was charged with second-degree murder after being arrested in Saskatchewan on Wednesday.
The exact cause of Boulanger's death has not been reported but an autopsy cited blunt force trauma.
