Saginaw Chippewa Tribe rallies together after recent tragedies
About 300 members of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan came together on Monday to support each other in light of two tragedies involving young women. Iva Joy Fuller, 25, was killed on the reservation on Saturday. Daniel Lawrence Fuller, 29, the victim's brother, faces an open charge of murder for her death. In a separate incident, Heaven Leigh Wemigwans, 21, underwent surgery following a serious car accident on Friday. She is recuperating. "This is how we used to help one another," Consuelo Gonzalez, a tribal prevention specialist, said at the event, The Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun reported. Get the Story:
