A man has been charged in tribal court in connection with the death of a U.S. Army soldier on the Fort Peck Reservation.
Curtis Eder pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and an aggravated assault charge. He is accused of stabbing Ryan Buckles, 21, on July 4.
Buckles, who was a member of the Fort Peck Tribes, was on leave before being deployed to Afghanistan.
