A member of the Navajo Nation who is wanted on a rape charge turned himself into federal authorities on Wednesday.
Sterling Clyde, 30, faces one count of forcible rape. He allegedly assaulted a young woman at a home in Shiprock, New Mexico, on the reservation.
In 2001, Clyde pleaded guilty to raping a 15-year-old female in Farmington, off the reservation. He served nine months in state jail for the crime, The Farmington Daily Times reported.
