The Ute Tribe of Utah suspended its top business executive and asked the FBI to investigate alleged misuse of funds.
Roderick “Rod” K. Ariwite Sr. was hired as chief executive officer of Ute Tribal Enterprises in 2009. He was suspended last week amid allegations of financial misconduct.
An FBI spokesperson confirmed that the agency received information from the tribe but declined to comment on specifics.
