Voters of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York elected a new chief and a new subchief over the weekend.
Official results were not reported but Randy Hart won the race for chief. He defeated incumbent chief Jim Ransom and Ronald W. LaFrance Jr., who is curently serving as subchief.
Shelley Jacobs defeated four candidates to win the post of subchief.
The new officials will be sworn in on July 1.
