A woman from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for retaliating against a victim of another crime.
Alexis Exendine, 18, admitted she attacked the victim at a convenience store on the reservation. The victim had accused one of Exendine's relatives of sexual abuse.
Exendine will spend 30 months in jail, followed by three years of supervised released. She was also ordered to pay $100 to a victim assessment fund.
