Choctaw woman hired for county assistant manager post
Penny Postoak Ferguson, a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, has been hired as the new assistant manager for the Johnson County Government in Kansas.

Postoak Ferguson was chosen among more than 170 applicants. She has served an assistant city manager in San Antonio, Texas, and as deputy city manager for Overland Park, Kansas.

Postoak Ferguson received degrees from Haskell Indian Nations University and the University of Kansas.
