Grand Traverse student accepts scholarship for basketball
Dwaun Anderson, a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, has already been offered a basketball scholarship at Michigan State University. Anderson, a junior at Suttons Bay High School, toured the campus on Wednesday with his family. He eagerly accepted the offer to join the Class of 2011. "I had no doubts at all," Anderson told The Traverse City Record-Eagle. Anderson led his team to a 25-2 record and to the state tournament this year. He's been named a Class C All-Stater twice.
