Keith Moore, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, is expected to be named the new director of the Bureau of Indian Education, Haskellnews blog reported.
Moore has almost two decades of experience in education. After teaching and coaching for nearly a decade, he served as chief diversity officer for the University of South Dakota. Prior to that, he was director of Indian
education for the South Dakota Department of Education.
Moore was one of several candidates for the job. The BIE director post has been vacant for almost three years.
