The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation of Kansas launched a new website to inform people in Illinois about its efforts there.
ShabehnayReservation.com will contain information about the tribe's plans for its land in Shabbona, Illinois.
The tribe owns 128 acres that were part of a reservation granted to Shab-eh-nay, a Potawatomi chief who signed the Treaty of Prairie du Chien in 1829.
The tribe says the 1,280-acre Shabehnay Reservation continues to exist. But DeKalb County has asked the federal government for clarification.
