A cigarette manufacturer on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation in New York settled a dispute with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Tarbell Inc. will forfeit $1.75 million for selling unlicensed cigarettes. The company agreed to obtain a federal license to manufacture cigarettes.
One other manufacturer on the reservation has a federal license, The Watertown Daily Times reported.
