IT Technicians (Part-time) Master Key Consulting stands at the forefront of the consulting industry, offering a diverse spectrum of management and information technology services. We are currently seeking IT Technicians to provide technical, program, and general IT operations support to client and contractor staff at various locations for a large federal agency. This position will work in close coordination with the agencies Field Support Manager to ensure effective communication and implementation of a best-practices approach on all of the client’s IT initiatives. Site locations are in: Cherokee, North Carolina; Pablo, Montana; Poplar, Montana; Winnebago, Nebraska; Fort Totten, North Dakota; Fort Thompson, South Dakota; Lower Brule, South Dakota; Sisseton, South Dakota; Wagner, South Dakota; Carson City, Nevada. Availability of work hours vary per site. Job Responsibilities:
• System and network troubleshooting
• Software installation and configuration
• Hardware installation and configuration
• Coordination with client IT and program staff as needed or directed by the client to support IT initiatives and operations
• Performance of problem determination and consultation for timely restoration of service and optimal hardware and software performance.
• Implementation of improvements to current IT practices and procedures as identified by client Field Support Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, to include special projects that may require travel Essential Functions: • Must be able to lift PCs and other IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to spend a minimum of 2 hours per day focused on PC monitors/screen
• Must be able to effectively communicate with end users in a manner consistent with different technical skill levels
• Must be able to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years experience in helpdesk / desktop support
• Knowledge of Windows XP and Lotus
• A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, or MCDST Certification
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
