Couple charged with murder of Lac du Flambeau woman
A couple in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, were charged in connection with the brutal murder of Emily Wayman, who was a member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.

Donald L. Martin, 20, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery. Samantha Jo Rew, Martin's 18-year-old fiancée, was charged with felony murder, party to the crime of armed robbery, burglary and possession and delivery of narcotic drugs.

"The nature of this homicide is horrendous," Winnebago County assistant district attorney Scott Ceman told The Oshkosh Northwestern.

Wayman, 22, was killed April 5 in her apartment in Oshkosh. Authorities said Martin brutally attacked Wayman with a hammer in order to steal prescription drugs from her. Rew was present when the attack started.
