"There are two Native American journalists working at the Washington Post today, according to Andrew Alexander, the paper’s ombudsman.
I wrote to Alexander in March, after he wrote an article noting the diversity in WaPo’s newsroom, but oddly didn’t include the number of Native American journalists.
The two journalists are Denny McAuliffe, an overnight news editor, and reporter Dana Hedgpeth.
Alexander must not see or read them all that much, since he didn’t note their presence in his number-filled piece on minorities working at the paper.
I asked him why the omission from he piece; he didn’t answer that question."
