The Navajo Nation is creating new jobs for a project to develop a high-speed Internet network on the reservation.
The tribe received $33.2 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority is contributing $11.6 million of its own funds for the project.
The tribe could hire as many as 35 people to start work in the next three months.
The entire project should be finished within three years.
