Job Ad: Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe, Water Quality Specialist
The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe is currently advertising for a full-time Water Quality Specialist. This position emcompasses outdoor activities, laboratory and management duties. This position will monitor surface and ground water for biological, physical and chemical parameters to determine water quality. This position require a water resource education background knowledge and understanding of relative scientific fields. Must have experience in monitoring systems, including maintaining records of field data. Must be able to operate, use and maintain a “certificable” water testing laboratory including Gas Chromatograph and other specialized laboratory and field instruments. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science (emphasis in Water Resources), Chemistry, or closely related area of study. A minimum of 3 years of specialized water lab experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen. Triabl and/or Indian preference. Salary DOE.
