The Native community in Vancouver, British Columbia, is mourning the loss of two teenage girls whose deaths are being linked to drug use.
Kayla Lalonde, 17, and Martha Jackson Hernandez, 17, were found dead a few hours apart from each other on early Tuesday morning. Friends said both had been using ecstasy although results of toxicology tests are pending.
A group gathered at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society to remember the girls. Friends, family and strangers also left messages on a Facebook page.
