Incoming New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez (R) selected a team to review the state Department of Indian Affairs.
Ron Solimon, of Laguna Pueblo, will serve as chair of the team. He is the president and CEO of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
Also serving on the team are Isleta Pueblo Gov. J. Robert Benavides Brian Lewis (Choctaw), Ron Lovato (Ohkay Owingeh) and Sam Winder (Southern Ute).
Outgoing Gov. Bill Richardson (D) elevated Indian Affairs to a Cabinet position during his term.
