The FBI is investigating an arson at a public school on the Navajo Nation.
A fire was set inside the library at the Mesa Elementary School in Shiprock, New Mexico. Smoke caused damage throughout the facility and students are staying home today amid the cleanup and the investigation.
"There is a likely possibility it will be closed more than one day, but we are waiting to know more," a school district spokesperson told The Farmington Daily Times. "It appears that someone broke into the library and set fire to the library. There is new graffiti on the outside of the building. There is smoke damage and water damage to carpets."
