A federal judge is expected to issue a ruling in the Seneca Nation tobacco taxation case.
The tribe asked for a temporary restraining order to prevent the state of New York from imposing a tobacco tax on the reservation.
The tribe says the plan infringes on its treaty rights and its sovereignty.
According to a poll commissioned by the tribe, nearly 70 percent of respondents said they supported treaty rights.
