Delando King, a member of the Navajo Nation who worked for the Indian Health Service, was fatally stabbed at his apartment in Washington, D.C.
King, 35, was killed sometime over the weekend but his body wasn't discovered until Monday. His death is being treated as a homicide.
"We at the Indian Health Service are very saddened to learn of the death of our colleague Delando King, who was a member of the Navajo Nation," the IHS said in a statement, My Fox DC reported. "Mr. King was a dedicated employee and a friend to many in the Washington-area American Indian community. We extend our deep condolences to Mr. King’s family.”
