Ramona Two Shields represents tribes in Silver Haired Assembly
Ramona Two Shields, a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation, is representing tribal interests at the North Dakota Silver Haired Legislative Assembly. Two Shields, 68, is the first tribal representative at the Assembly in several years, The Bismarck Tribune reported. will help the 2011 North Dakota State Legislature address senior issues at the three-day forum this week. Two Shields sits on the tribe's elders board and is a former director of elder programs. She hopes to address senior housing and elder abuse in Indian Country at the Assembly. Get the Story:
