Chaske Spencer, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, is putting his Twilight fame to good use.
Spencer, 35, volunteered for a United Blood Services promotion in Billings, Montana. His stardom helped the blood bank draw in over 250 donations during the normally slow summer months.
I think you’re obligated to help people out when you’re in a position like this. It’s important for me to do what I can with what I’ve been given," Spencer, who grew up in Montana on the Fort Peck Reservation, told The Billings Gazette.
