The San Carlos Apache Tribe sailed to victory over the White Mountain Apache Tribe in the Arizona tribes' ongoing basketball series.
Tribal council members and staffs from each reservation took part in the June 10 matchup. After a double overtime, the San Carlos team emerged with a 93-88 win.
The series started as a way to promote exercise and combat diabetes.
The White Mountain Apache Tribe won the first game by a single point. The San Carlos Apache Tribe won one the next by seven points.
