A mother and daughter from the Yurok Tribe of California are the proud owners of the Historic Requa Inn.
Janet Wortman and her daughter Geneva Wiki are the first Yuroks to own the property, which is located on the reservation and on the site of an ancestral village. "This is our village,” Wiki told The Daily Triplicate, “where we’ve always lived.”
The current inn has been in operation since 1915. It features 11 rooms.
