"A new motto should encourage American Indians to complete the U.S. Census and the updating of tribal enrollments.
The slogan, “Do the Indian Census Roll” should be the mind-catching phrase to persuade tribally enrolled members to do both.
It is important for American Indian communities across the nation to contribute to the Census data- collection process. In doing so, those communities will get their fair share of government funding and political representation.
This process is a mandate of the U.S. Constitution, which requires every citizen to take part. Upon completion, tribal communities will get allocated funding for tribal improvements and the many needs of services."
