Ute student prepares to graduate from Haskell University
Tracy Pargeets, a member of the Ute Tribe of Utah, will graduate from Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas on Friday. Pargeets earned a degree in bachelor’s degree in business. She already has a full-time job at the American Indian Records Repository, operated by the Interior Department. “I just think it’s important for us to know our history,” Pargeets told The Lawrence Journal-World. “Our tradition and culture, we need to keep it going into the future.” Pargeets and her brother, Adelbert Pargeets, will graduate together.
