The Tanana Chiefs Conference will move forward with a $75 million health center after purchasing land from the city of Fairbanks, Alaska.
TCC bought 9.5 acres for the new Chief Andrew Isaac Medical Center. The 100,000 square-foot facility will be more than double the size of the existing clinic.
“We’ve been outgrowing the space,” TCC President Jerry Isaac told The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. “We need extra space to do things and are limited. With the new site, that bottleneck situation goes away.”
TCC represents 42 villages in interior Alaska.
