NCAI President Keel to deliver State of Indian Nations
National Congress of American Indians President Jefferson Keel will deliver the 9th annual State of Indian Nations next Friday, January 29.
This is the first address for Keel, who was elected last October. He will discuss NCAI's priorities for the second session of the 111th Congress and for the Obama administration; economic development; jobs for Native Americans; and the roles for tribal governments in the U.S. economy and society.
The speech will take place at 9:30am at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. It also will be broadcast online at the NCAI web site.
Keel is a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma.
